Andrey Ivashkin
Artist
  • I've been painting since childhood, but now, thanks to my education, my creativity has reached a completely different level. I'm grateful to my teachers, who taught me how to work with various techniques, which I now develop and apply in my paintings. I love working with oils; I enjoy its properties and love the direct interaction with paint with my hands.
  • I strive to combine established historical forms with a new, contemporary approach to the subject, using allegorical language to convey the essence of objects and items from the past and the modern world, affirming space and people's interactions with them, presented in my paintings from a different, philosophical perspective.
  • The interplay of established attributes and images of the past allows the viewer to see a new reality through the subjects of my paintings, a grotesque symbiosis of icons from past centuries in their modern grandeur.
  • My goal is for the images to interact with the viewer by evoking emotions in the atmosphere. I want them to penetrate the mind through the centuries, reflecting on who we are in this world, recognizing the past thousands of years as mere thoughts.

  • In composition, you always need to take a new approach.
  • And then apply an unusual solution to this new approach.
